Why GSP will beat Nick Diaz
By Abel CarvFinally, at UFC 158, Georges "Rush" St-Pierre will fight Nick "Diablo" Diaz. This fight has been in the making for two years, being supposed to take place at UFC 137, now more than ever are these two wanting to beat each other up. GSP's gone so far as to say, "He's [Nick Diaz] the most disrespectful human being I've ever met and I'm going to put the worst beating you've ever seen on him in the UFC." Those are very strong words, but GSP has many factors on his side. The fight will be taking place in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, only a few miles away from GSP's camp at Tristar Gym. GSP has only lost twice, once being to Matt Huges in New Jersey, and the other being to Matt "The Terror" Serra, in Texas, meaning he's never lost in Canada. Geroges is also coming in with a 10 fight winning streak, as opposed to Diaz coming in off a loss. Diaz is 6'0" and has a reach of 74". GSP is 5' 10" and has a reach of 76", so even though Diaz is a professional boxer, Rush could neutralize it using his 2 inch reach advantage. GSP also has a smaller, more musclar frame than Diaz, so he could easily utilize that for an advantage. Most importantly, GSP seemingly has an ustoppable ground game. Nick Diaz has said that GSP is afraid of him, but GSP has stepped up to the plate and will retain his belt. There is a reason why GSP has the second most wins in UFC History and the most wins by decision in UFC history, and Nick Diaz will learn it. Who do you think will win? |
