Christian Dees: Young Fighter in an Evolving Sport
By: Abel CarvWyoming is a state with a new commission reigning over Mixed Martial Arts. Being a mere seven months old, many fighters in the state have competed before the commission was in place and now must adjust to the new rules. One of these fighters is Christian “the Caucasian Asian” Dees. A five foot eight inch fighter out of Buffalo, Christian has racked up a 5-3 MMA record as well as a 2-1 boxing record, outside of the commission. Like many fighters, Christian could find himself matched up against more fair opponents, bringing his win-loss ratio to about 50%. He also could be victimized by the commission, finding himself fighting highly skilled veteran fighters whose numerous fights are unrecognized by the commission. “I was gonna fight a friend for my first fight and turned out fighting a guy i didnt know and even though i lost i fell in love with the sport”, stated Dees when asked how he got into the sport. Last minute opponent changes, intentionally unfair match-up, and other similar unethical practices. Dee’s has also been hustled on travel twice by a promoter and treated poorly, all issues dealt with by the commission. Despite the implications of the commission, Dee’s has proven that despite all odds he will fight and deliver. Having trained with Brady McLean, Kellan Evans, Cody Quarterman, and Dave Harbour, Dee’s is on the path to greatness like his favorite fighters GSP, Brock Lesnar, and BJ Penn. Look for the Caucasian Asian to be in action either April 19th. If you would like to sponsor Christian “The Caucasian Asian” Dee’s, please contact him here.
